About this Blog

Alexa RonngrenHi!  I’m Alexa Ronngren, the founder of Aldeia Global Marketing, a small business marketing consulting firm.  I originally created this blog to share tips, tools, and techniques I’ve discovered while helping Aldeia clients.  But just about the same time as I created the blog, I was invited to join a software start-up as a founder and Chief Marketing Officer.  Unfortunately, this was a tough economic climate to get funding for enterprise software.  Now, I’ve decided to re-launch Aldeia Global Marketing and expand the company beyond a small one-woman shop.  This blog chronicles my mad-crazy journey to grow my own business.

So, what qualifies me to head up Aldeia Global Marketing?  I am a marketing consultant and certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach.  I’ve founded two businesses, once successful, the other a tremendous learning experience.  Before becoming an entrepreneur, I worked at few small to medium companies and large corporations, such as Compaq Computer Corp.  My experience spans various aspects of marketing, sales, business development and management.

Aldeia Global Marketing specializes in helping entrepreneurs set up their marketing and business development function, even if they hate marketing and sales.  We can help you create an internal marketing department or through strategic partnerships with other marketing professionals, we can provide a virtual marketing department that can handle everything from marketing plans and strategy, to design and search engine optimization (SEO).

I know – you are probably scratching your head and thinking “Gee, Alexa, why are you giving away marketing tips, tools, and techniques in this blog?  Isn’t that what you charge for?”  Don’t worry; there is method behind my madness!  First, I do this as a customer service to my faithful clients.  The information I am blogging about here is generally based on solutions I’ve thought of or uncovered while working with one of my clients.  I would never share confidential information that compromises a client’s competitive advantage.  Second, when I find a resource I truly believe to be useful, I generally sign up for their affiliate program (when available) and get an affiliate commission if you use my link to purchase it.  If I don’t find value in a program, I won’t bother cover it.  When I review a product or service, I will provide you with an honest assessment of it’s usefulness in marketing.  Our consulting services can help you make the most of these products and services.
